There have already been hints at the Riddler. As
part of the promotional online marketing for The Dark Knight, an online
edition of The Gotham Times credits Edward Nashton - an alias of The
Riddler - for an article about a Batman statue being added to the city's
wax museum. The article is a nod to a 1966 episode of the Batman TV
series, in which the Riddler used a Batman statue to smuggle in a
universal wax solvent.
There have also been rumours that Anthony
Michael Hall was playing the Riddler in The Dark Knight but Hall is in
fact playing a reporter named Mike Engel.
